Accommodations

Marriott Desert Ridge-Guest Room-Guest Room
The JW Marriott Desert Ridge offers 950 guest rooms, including 77 suites and four presidential suites.

Although the rooms at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge were in no means in dire need of a remodel, the resort recently completed a $16 million renovation of its rooms, suites and corridors to transform its 950 guest rooms into private sanctuaries.

The newly enhanced rooms are stunning, inspired by the textures and colors of the Sonoran desert. Connecting interior space with the outdoors, the new guest rooms feature textured desert sand carpeting and wall coverings; contemporary lighting treatments; refinished armoires, sofas, chairs and furnishings; floor-to-ceiling sheer drapes; and artwork depicting warm desert landscapes, indigenous flora and fauna.

The resort’s more than roomy Presidential Suites have been completely refurbished and now feature beautiful hardwood floors, new cabinetry, wall covering, accent carpeting, all new furniture and flat screen entertainment.

All resort suites and hotel rooms include views, signature bedding and balcony or patio. Come experience Arizona resort grandeur nestled near the mountains of Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Wildfire Golf Club

Wildfire Golf ClubWildfire Golf Club is situated in the rugged Sonoran Desert of Northeast Phoenix right next to North Scottsdale, and features two picturesque 18-hole courses designed by two of golf’s greatest legends – Arnold Palmer and Nick Faldo. The Palmer Signature Course offers scenic and expansive fairways allowing the ball to remain in play even on an errant shot. The Faldo Championship Course features generous fairways, large bent grass greens and tee boxes.

Wildfire Golf Club is an upscale daily fee club with a complete practice facility, including an all-grass driving range, putting and chipping greens, a green-side practice bunker and state-of-the-art Global Positioning System (GPS) with CBS Sportsline Ticker in each golf car. Surrounding both courses are the majestic McDowell Mountains and century-old saguaro cacti, providing a spectacular setting for golfers of all skill levels.

Palmer Signature Course

The Palmer Signature Course plays up to 7,145 yards, providing a very scenic desert experience. The expansive fairways allow the player to remain in play even on an errant shot. The flashed bunkering on Palmer is superb, and the putting greens carry plenty of undulation, like many Arnold Palmer designs. The expansive square footage of the greens (average size is 7,000 square feet) allow the undulations to create subtle challenges for the short game without feeling contrived or “tricked up”.

Faldo Course

The Faldo Championship Course, which plays up to 6,846 yards, sits on a 174-acre site and offers a slight variation from the typical desert-theme courses. It features generous fairways, large greens and tee boxes. The surrounding mountains and century-old saguaro cacti as well as 108 sand bunkers, reminiscent of the Australian sand belt courses, provide a spectacular setting for the golf course and golfing guests.
