Arizona Biltmore Resort

This Grand Dame of Arizona resorts offers architectural and historical significance, the elegance and glamor of yesteryear, and a great location at the heart of Phoenix’s toniest intersection.

Set on 39 acres in the heart of Phoenix’s toniest intersection (24th St & Camelback Rd), the Arizona Biltmore is Arizona’s Grand Dame, and this “Jewel of the Desert” is as steeped in history and Hollywood glamor as it is in luxury. Since opening on Feb 23, 1929, this acclaimed landmark has been graced by U.S. presidents, celebrities and world travelers.

Bing Crosby wrote the song “White Christmas” while lounging poolside at the Arizona Biltmore, and the Catalina Pool was said to be Marilyn Monroe’s favorite pool. And, like something from a great old movie, to this day, you can still play a game of croquet or enjoy a game of giant life-sized lawn chess.

Frank Lloyd Wright served as the consulting architect, and the Arizona Biltmore remains one of the only existing hotels in the world to directly benefit from his influence. Even though the Arizona Biltmore has undergone major renovations throughout the years, owners have preserved and enhanced the original architecture, creating a masterpiece of design that is truly awe-inspiring and reminiscent of old glamor and expert craftsmanship.

In 1930, Chicago chewing gum magnate William Wrigley, Jr. became the sole owner. Over the next 44 years, the Wrigley family owned and operated the Arizona Biltmore and it became world renowned as the preferred luxury oasis for celebrities, heads of state, and captains of industry. The hotel has had several owners and major multi-million dollar renovations since the Wrigley’s sold it in 1973, but the famed “Wrigley Mansion” still sits atop a hill right above the majestic hotel, and is open to the public for tours.

The award-winning Arizona Biltmore Spa is a calming destination that is dedicated to the art of wellness utilizing the powers of natural and organic products and practices. These signature treatments are excellent for guests and the environment. The chemical-free, organic products work with the body and are eco-friendly to address guests’ physical, mental and spiritual health.

Adjacent to the resort, the Arizona Biltmore Country Club boasts a challenging 36-hole design, featuring two of the premier Phoenix golf resort courses: The Adobe and The Links. Expansive views of Squaw Peak, lush greens and trickling ponds surround you as you embark on an exciting round of golf at either championship course.

The Arizona Biltmore also has eight swimming pools, seven tennis courts and five dining options. If you want something more, you are within walking distance of the Biltmore Fashion Park, with lots of shopping and dining choices, from casual to chic. If you’re not in the mood to walk, the hotel offers shuttle service every hour on the hour.

Arizona Biltmore Country Club

In the shadow of the majestic Arizona mountain preserves, the Biltmore Golf Club is second to none when it comes to real prestige, proximity and privileges. Located in the very heart of Phoenix, the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is as convenient as it is exclusive. Adjacent to the legendary Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Resort, both the Adobe and the Links courses stand as testimony to some of the greatest golf outings in Arizona.

Built in the late twenties, the layout and character of these courses has been refined over many decades, providing golfers a stately and distinctive experience. U.S. Presidents, foreign heads of state, Hollywood celebrities, national corporate leaders and yes, millions of individuals from here and afar will recall their own warm memory of The Links and The Adobe courses.

Just minutes from the Camelback Corridor and some of the finest corporate, retail and dining addresses in the Valley, the Biltmore Golf Club lays claim to being the most centrally-located golf club in the Valley.

Adobe Course

Stately and grand, the Adobe Course was built in 1928 out of the vision and desire of chewing gum magnate William Wrigley, Jr. He persuaded Riviera and Bel-Air Country Club architect, William Bell, to design what was one of the first courses in Phoenix. Little wonder that it became an Arizona Classic.

The par 71, 6,430 yard Adobe is a true parkland course that treats its patrons to generous, sprawling fairways, while challenging them with numerous, hungry bunkers. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Squaw Peak mountain range and the far-reaching southern skyline of downtown Phoenix, the Adobe provides views as breathtaking as the course itself.

The Adobe has withstood the test of time by providing golfers a perfect blend of tradition, challenge and pleasure.

Links Course

The youngster of the Biltmore Golf Club, The Links has grown up nicely over the years and matured into another “can’t-miss-out” golf experience. The par 71, 6,300 yard course provides rolling fairways, desert ravines and five shimmering lakes. Taking a cue from the seaside links course of the British Isles, the bunkers are deep and set dangerously close to the greens.

A combination of challenging desert golf mixed with cool pines and tranquil lakes, The Links is a bit rambunctious, providing both delights and demands for even the most seasoned player.
