At Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North you can relax in Southwestern-style casitas, dine with heart-skipping views and astonishing scenery, and rise to the challenge of golf at Troon North.
If you prefer the comfort, privacy, space and amenities of a private casita residence over a regular hotel, Four Seasons Troon North is the place for you. You’ll have lots of room to spread out, store your clubs, or enjoy intimate meals on your own private balcony overlooking some stunning desert scenery.
The resort sits near the well-known Scottsdale landmark, Pinnacle Peak. With its craggy rocks reaching high in the sky, the distinctive Pinnacle Peak can be seen from virtually any North Scottsdale location. Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy taking a bike ride or a hike through the natural, rugged terrain of the surrounding High Sonoran desert.
At Troon North, it’s also about the golf. Offering 36 holes of world-renowned golf, the Troon North Pinnacle and Monument courses are the top-rated courses in Arizona, and among the top-rated courses in the entire country. Guests of Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North enjoy special privileges at both The Pinnacle and The Monument championship golf courses at Troon North Golf Club, as well as guest privileges at the fabulous Troon North Clubhouse. The exclusive partnership earned the Resort the honor of being named among the best golf resorts in North America by Golf Digest.
Because the resort offers residences instead of typical hotel rooms, they have fewer rooms and guests, so amenities are scaled down a bit. But when we say scaled down, we mean things like two tennis courts instead of an 11-court tennis complex, and three restaurants instead of ten. But there’s no skimping on quality or service.
Non-golfing activities include:
- Guided hikes along a private trail to the 3.5-mile (5.6-kilometers) path at Pinnacle Peak Park, or go on a biking adventure
- Salsa and margarita demonstration at Saguaro Blossom restaurant
- Wine-tasting seminar at Talavera restaurant
- Other complimentary classes include “Meet the pastry chef” and “Stargazing”
- Two tennis courts, with ball machines and racquets
- Kids For All Seasons facility with table football, pool and ping-pong tables, a movie theater with leather recliners, a Lego table and Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360, arts and crafts, and treasure hunts
- Venture out into the desert on a guided Jeep tour
- Take a hot air balloon ride

Troon North Golf Club
Troon North Golf Club is the birthplace and flagship property of Troon Golf, which is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. Troon North Golf stands as the hallmark of the desert golf experience, with two 18-hole golf courses stretching through the natural ravines and foothills of the high Sonoran desert in the shadows of Pinnacle Peak. The challenge, visual sensation, and special ambiance of Troon North set the standards by which all others are measured.
The immaculately groomed golf courses and exceptional level of customer service, create the renowned Troon Golf Experience. Elevated tees offer breathtaking views in every direction. To enhance the golf experience, Troon North limits the number of players on both courses and allows more time and space between groups, providing a more relaxed setting with added privacy.
In the autumn of 2007, Troon North Golf Club completed a multi-step, two-year renovation project led by Tom Weiskopf, the original designer of The Pinnacle and the co-designer of The Monument. Under Weiskopf’s direction, the 36-hole facility was reconfigured by blending the two courses together and changing the sequence in which the holes are played. Players now experience two new layouts with improved playability.
Golf Magazine raters have spoken by naming the “New” Pinnacle course #1 in Arizona and #21 in the nation. The “New” Monument course has been named #4 in Arizona and #44 in the nation. If you’re playing for the first time or returning to play the new layouts, you are sure to experience the best in Arizona golf!
